Junior School
The Junior School is a hub where boys come to learn, play and grow. The day-to-day life of the Year 5s and 6s, while structured and tailored to making sure the boys make the most of every day, ensures there is always time for laughter, fun and building genuine friendships.
Our core subjects include Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and Science, in addition to specialist subjects in the fields of Health and Physical Education, Japanese, Technologies and the Arts (Music and Visual Arts).
Teachers in the Junior School integrate a variety of technologies and modern teaching practices to engage the boys in quality learning, including educational videos filmed by the Junior School teachers, year level Google sites and various Google platforms, which allow students to engage in collaborative learning.
Every boy in the Junior School is supported by dedicated teaching and support staff, as well as Year 12 Big Brothers who mentor our youngest members of the College. The Year 5s and 6s form a strong bond with their Senior role models as they have someone to go to for advice, share a laugh with in PC, and cheer them on at Inter-house carnivals. It is these bonds, along with the early introduction to Nudgee College life, which allows the Junior School boys to strive across their eight year journey at the College.
