Overnight Boarding House Supervisor
The College has an opportunity for a Boarding Supervisor to provide a supportive, caring and a physical presence for our students in our Boarding House in an overnight capacity. This position plays a role in ensuring boarder welfare and a high standard of duty of care for our students. To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible, show initiative, discretion and sensitivity to individual boarders’ needs. This is an active on duty role not a “sleep over” role.
Roster
- This role commences 22 January 2025.
- This is a 3 day, part time role during school terms only.
- The rostered shifts are Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
- The hours of duty are 10.30pm to 6.30am.
Primary Duties:
- Carry out wellbeing checks on students.
- Carry out active supervision of the four dorms.
- Respond to student needs, if unwell, escort students to the Health Centre.
- Facilitate fire alarm evacuations or lockdowns as required (with support from Dean of Boarding and/or Heads of Boarding House).
- Communicate issues with the on call senior staff member.
- Ensure the security of the Boarding House (i.e. gates closed, doors secure, students in their rooms).
