Jack Ross Bursary
One Jack Ross Bursary will be awarded in Years 7, 8, 9 or 10.
It is funded through the generous support of the Nudgee College Foundation and the Nudgee College Old Boys’ Association.
Applications are now closed and will reopen in Term 4 for 2026 applications.

The Jack Ross Bursary is an initiative of the Nudgee College Foundation and the Nudgee College Old Boys’ Association. It is named after John (Jack) Elliot Ross, a highly respected College student, teacher, coach and secretary of the Old Boys’ Association with connections to the College from 1908 to 1972. The Jack Ross Bursary is available to new students entering Years 7-10 only who display great character and leadership values and are awarded for equity reasons.
Key standards for Jack Ross Bursary
- High academic performance and future potential based on school reports
- Diligence and application in academic studies
- Achievement and involvement in other areas of excellence, such as performing arts, visual arts, sports, music, debating and other relevant areas
- A demonstrated sense of community
- Leadership capacity
- ACER Exam or further testing as required
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
